“The Jammu and Kashmir government has terminated four additional government employees due to their involvement in narcotics trafficking. The dismissed employees are:
- Abdul Rashid Bhat, Gang Coolie, Irrigation & Flood Control Division Sumbal
- Dilbag Singh, Lineman, Jal Shakti (PHE) Sub-Division, Hiranagar
- Gulzar Ahmed, Assistant Motorman, Hydraulic Division Ramban
- Noor Mohammad Sheikh, Gang Coolie, Ferozpora Basin, Irrigation Division, Tangmarg.
These terminations are a direct result of their involvement in cases related to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This action follows the earlier dismissal of Gulzar Ahmad Dar, Jamadar, Irrigation Division Shopian, who was terminated in connection with FIR No. 21/2023 under section 8/15 of the NDPS Act.”
