Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the G20 Summit in New Delhi today, calling for a human-centric approach to address global challenges.
He said that the 21st century is a time to find new solutions to old problems, and that we need to work together to overcome the trust deficit caused by conflicts.
PM Modi also announced that the African Union has been made a permanent member of the G20, and invited the AU to take a seat at the table of G20 leaders.
He expressed his condolences over the loss of lives in Morocco, which was hit by an earthquake earlier today, and said that India is ready to offer all possible assistance.
The G20 Summit is being attended by more than 30 heads of state and top officials from the European Union and invited guest countries.
