Ganderbal Theft Case Solved, Accused Arrested: J&K Police

Ganderbal Police in Jammu and Kashmir apprehended a woman for stealing gold ornaments from her sister-in-law’s home. The incident occurred on April 2nd, 2024.

The woman, a guest at her sister-in-law’s residence, stole gold jewelry kept in a locked room. A police complaint was filed (FIR No. 64/2024) and a special team was formed to investigate.

With swift action, the police located the suspect in Srinagar using technical assistance. During questioning, she confessed to the theft and revealed that she had sold the stolen gold for cash.

The police recovered Rs. 1,85,500 and a scooty believed to be purchased with the stolen money. The woman has been arrested and is currently in custody.
