Ghulam Nabi Azad, chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), has promised to uphold moral and social values in his politics and never discriminate among people on the basis of religion. He said that he will focus on development and not indulge in the politics of hatred and communalism.
Addressing a public rally in Ramban district, Azad said that his ideology stands for developmental and positive politics. He pointed to the large turnout at the rally as evidence that people appreciate his approach.
Azad promised to bring more development projects to Ramban district if his party is elected to power. He said that he will focus on building more hospitals and colleges in far-away areas and expanding the road network to connect rural pockets with cities and towns. This will create new jobs and boost economic growth.
Azad also said that he has never been discriminative in his political career and has always helped people regardless of their religion. He said that such tactics can be disastrous and insidious.
