Chief Minister Omar Abdullah announced on Monday that all necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the Amarnath Yatra. He expressed hopes and prayers for a safe and seamless pilgrimage.
CM Abdullah highlighted that the Lieutenant Governor held meetings with various political parties and civil society members, providing assurances that adequate security measures are firmly in place for the yatris.
With preparations complete, the government now awaits the arrival of pilgrims, who are scheduled to be flagged off from Jammu tomorrow. CM Abdullah voiced his hope for a large turnout and safe return of all yatris.
The Amarnath Yatra is set to begin on July 3rd in Jammu and Kashmir, supported by extensive multi-layered security arrangements.
