The weather department in Jammu and Kashmir has forecast generally cloudy skies with possibility of light to moderate rain at many places of Poonch and Rajouri besides at scattered places elsewhere in the union territory during the next 24 hours.
There is also a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Poonch, Rajouri, and Reasi districts. The weather department has also warned of a risk of flash floods and mudslides at vulnerable places in Poonch and Rajouri today.
People are advised to remain cautious and stay away from streams, rivers, and other vulnerable spots.
Regarding rainfall in the last 24 hours till 8:30 am today, Srinagar received 0.1 mm, Qazigund traces, Pahalgam 5.3 mm, Kupwara 2.7 mm, Gulmarg 2 mm, Jammu 0.2 mm, Bhaderwah 33.4 mm, and Batote 1.6 mm.
The minimum temperature today was recorded at 21.7°C in Srinagar, 19.8°C in Qazigund, 16.0°C in Pahalgam, 16.2°C in Kupwara, 19.3°C in Kokernag, 14.3°C in Gulmarg, 27.0°C in Jammu, 20.6°C in Banihal, 20.4°C in Batote, 23.2°C in Katra, and 18.6°C in Bhaderwah.
