In a major victory for justice, Handwara police have dismantled a complex scam targeting unsuspecting individuals in North and Central Kashmir. The elaborate scheme, dubbed the “Honey Trap,” exploited victims through promises of government jobs, fake marriages, and even a fraudulent inverter scheme.
The perpetrators, posing as doctors, engineers, and government officials, lured their victims with various ploys. They promised coveted government jobs, orchestrated sham marriage proposals, and even convinced individuals to pay an advance for non-existent inverters under the guise of a Power Development Department scheme.
