A 26-year-old man from Gundpora, Bandipora, identified as Ashiq Hussain Raina, son of Mehraj-u-din Raina, tragically lost his life on Wednesday morning. This came after a valiant three-month fight for survival following a severe road accident in Sumbal.
The accident, involving a speeding tipper and Raina’s motorcycle, left him critically injured. He was immediately rushed to SKIMS Soura for extensive treatment, where he remained hospitalized for over a month. Sadly, despite the dedicated efforts of medical professionals, Raina succumbed to his injuries early Wednesday morning at his home.
