Jammu Division emerged Victorious in the opening match of Inter Division UT Level U-19 Cricket Tournament 2024, played here at BHSS ground Bijbehara today on 16/10/2024. In the opening match Jammu Division defeated Kashmir Division by 2 wickets and registered 1-0 lead in the tournament.
The tournament is organized by YSS Department J&K and is hosted by DYSSO Anantnag at BHSS ground Bijbehara. Earlier, Principal BHSS Bijbehara Nasreena Akhter inaugurated the tournament along with the officials of YSS department Anantnag.
Kashmir Division while batting first set the target of 124 runs in alloted overs, in which Shahid Saleem scored 39 runs and Mohd Umair Khan scored 28 runs as highest. From Jammu Division side Takshdeep Singh clinched 4 wicket haul, Mohd Hasnain and
Waseem took 2 wickets each.
In reply Jammu Division played brilliantly and chased down the target in the 18th over of the match and won the match by 2 wickets. From Jammu Division side Ashotosh played brilliant unbeaten inning of 44 runs and Arman Sharma scored 25 runs. From Kashmir Division Side Zeeshan Zahoor took 2 wickets.
