The Jammu and Kashmir Police have introduced a new initiative called the Pink Patrol, a special unit dedicated to women’s safety. This unique program aims to strengthen the bond between the police and the community in Jammu.
Lieutenant Governor’s administration launched the first Pink Patrol vehicle, staffed entirely by female officers and equipped with advanced communication tools. The primary purpose of this patrol is to provide additional support for women and deter crimes like eve-teasing.
The Pink Patrol empowers women in Jammu to take a more active role in ensuring their own safety and the safety of their surroundings.
