Jammu Police Arrests Two Notorious Drug Peddlers, Heroin (Chitta) Seized

In a significant move to eradicate drug menace under Operation *SANJEEVANI* from the society, the Jammu Police has intensified its crackdown on drug peddlers. Today, a vigilant team led by SHO Bus Stand Police Station, under the steadfast supervision of SP North and SDPO North, successfully apprehended two notorious drug peddlers.
*The arrested individuals have been identified as:*
1. *Shabir Ahmed, son of Gh Mohd, resident of Anantnag.*
2. *Mohd Shafi, son of Gh Mohd Wani, resident of Anantnag*
During the operation, the police recovered approximately 69 grams of heroin (chitta) from the possession of the accused.
This swift action has led to the registration of an FIR No. 27/2024 under sections 8/22/22/29 of the NDPS Act at the Bus Stand Police Station. Investigation is now underway to trace the broader network and sources of the contraband.
