Continuing its unrelenting fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse under Operation *SANJEEVANI* Jammu Police achieved major
success by recovering 5 kg & 811 grams of Ganja from one drug peddler near Railway Pulley, Narwal
under the jurisdiction of PP Narwal.
A Police team of Police Post Narwal while on Patrolling duty in the jurisdiction of PP Narwal rounded up a suspected person, later identified as Shivshankar Kumar S/O Vipin Ray R/O Rampur Shamchand, District: Vaishali, Bihar &
during search 5 Kg & 811 grams of Ganja was recovered from his possession.
In this regard case FIR No. 146/2024 U/S 8/20 of NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Bahu Fort and
accused arrested.
Further, investigation of the case is going on including working on forward and backward linkages in the case. The arrest was made by the ic pp Nawal and SHO Bahufort under the supervision of SDPO city east and SP City South, Jammu.
Jammu Police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region by maintaining highest vigil, developing intelligence, acting tuff, community awareness and invoking the stringent provisions of law eg seizing of property of drug peddlers etc.
