Varun Kumar filed a complaint with police in Jammu, alleging that a man named Mohd Shohidul Islam attacked him and his family members near the Early Times office in Gujjar Nagar. The attack resulted in serious head injuries to the victims.
Based on the complaint, FIR No. 20/2024 was registered at Peermitha police station under relevant sections of law.
Following the directions of SP North Shivam Siddhanth IPS, a special team led by SDPO City North Devinder Singh Bandral-JKPS was formed. The team utilized both technical and human intelligence to apprehend the accused.
Within two hours of the incident, Mohd Shohidul Islam was arrested.
