Jammu Police Recover Stolen ₹40,000 in Gajansoo Theft

Jammu Police have successfully resolved a theft case within the Kanachak police station’s jurisdiction, recovering ₹40,000 in stolen cash and apprehending two individuals.

The case began when Naresh Manhas, a resident of Galwadey Chak, filed a complaint reporting a theft at Sahib Bandgi Ashram. Following this, FIR No. 145/2024, U/S 305/331(4) BNS was registered at Police Station Kanachak.

A dedicated team from BPP Gajansoo, led by PSI Maroof Ahmed, launched an investigation. Their efforts led to the arrest of Govind Ram alias Kalu of Bhullay Chak, Tehsil Marh, and the apprehension of a juvenile, whose identity has been withheld as per legal requirements.

During interrogation, both individuals confessed to the theft and disclosed the location of the stolen money, leading to the recovery of the entire ₹40,000. The juvenile has since been placed in protective custody at the Juvenile Observation Home in RS Pura.

Jammu Police reiterated their commitment to protecting citizens and their property and ensuring justice for victims. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
