Two individuals from Gool lost their lives in a car accident on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway last night.
The taxi they were traveling in, registered under number JK 14 9874, veered off the road and plunged into a gorge near Battery Chashma in the Ramban district around 12:30 am.
Authorities responded swiftly to the scene and retrieved the two occupants from the wreckage. They were transported to DH Ramban, but unfortunately, doctors declared them dead upon arrival.
The deceased have been identified as Hakam Din (25) and Tariq Ahmed (25), both residents of Dalwa village in the Sangaldan area of Gool.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law and are investigating the accident further.
