Police successfully foiled two bovine smuggling attempts in Ramnagar and Kakryal, rescuing five animals. While the alleged smugglers escaped in both incidents, cases have been registered.
In the Sarsoo area near Ramnagar, a police team from PP Ghordi intercepted three bovines being transported without valid permission. The animals were rescued, and a case was filed at Ramnagar Police Station.
Similarly, in Katra, police at Sool Nallah, Kakryal, intercepted a load carrier (JK03N-5021) attempting to smuggle two bovine animals. The driver fled under the cover of darkness. The bovines were rescued, the vehicle was seized, and a case was registered at Katra Police Station.
