In continuation to take tough action against drug menace and its propagators within the District, J&K Police Kathua recovered Approx. 3.52 grams of heroin (chitta) like narcotics at Dyalachak area of PS Hiranagar and one drug peddler was arrested.
On dated 15.12.2024 a police team of PS Hiranagar under the supervision of SDPO Border and SHO P/S Hiranagar during naka/ checking in its jurisdictional area at Dyalachak apprehended one suspicious person namely Sahil Kumar S/o Pawan Kumar R/o W. No. 07 Hiranagar District Kathua. During checking, approx. 3.52 grams of heroin like narcotics was recovered from the possession of said person who was doing illegal trade of selling narcotic contraband among the youth of Dyalachak in order to gain illegitimate profit.Thereafter all the recovered narcotics i.e. approx. 3.52 grams of Heroin was seized and one person
was arrested.In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 163/2024 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Hiranagar and further investigation was taken up.
Kathua Police again requested people of the area to come forward and share information about any such illicit activity with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept confidential.
