J&K Police Chief Reviews Security Forces’ Operational Preparedness In South Kashmir

During a two-day visit to south Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Nalin Prabhat on Sunday assessed the operational readiness of the police and security forces in the area.

A police spokesperson stated that the Director General of Police (DGP) toured forward operational bases in Aripal and the Special Operations Group (SOG) camp in Tral, located in the Pulwama district.

The spokesperson clarified that the purpose of the visit to south Kashmir was to evaluate the operational preparedness of the police and security forces across the Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam, and Awantipora districts.

“The visit allowed the DGP to directly assess the security preparedness on the ground,” the spokesperson noted.

The DGP’s focus was on enhancing the current security framework, ensuring smooth collaboration among various security agencies, and reinforcing counter-terrorism operations within the region.

The spokesperson further added that the DGP stressed the significance of proactive strategies and community-oriented policing to uphold peace and order.
