The Meteorological Centre Srinagar predicts isolated to widespread light to moderate rain and snow across Jammu and Kashmir. Sunday will be generally cloudy with potential light rain/snow in isolated areas. Monday (March 3rd) is expected to bring light to moderate rain/snow to most areas, with potential moderate to heavy snowfall in higher elevations of North and Central Kashmir.

- Advisories:
- Tourists, travelers, and transporters are advised to follow administrative and traffic advisories.
- Farmers should postpone irrigation and other farm activities until March 4th.
- There’s a risk of landslides, rockfalls, and shooting stones in vulnerable areas. People are urged to avoid steep slopes and avalanche-prone regions and to heed avalanche warnings from DGRE.
- Temperature Trends:
- Daytime temperatures have increased by 5 to 8°C in many parts of Jammu and Kashmir over the past 24 hours.
- Srinagar’s daytime high was 12.0°C, normal for this time of year.
- Kukernag recorded the highest daytime high within the valley at 10.2°C.
- Minimum temperatures have also increased by 0 to 3°C in many locations.
- Srinagar’s nighttime low was 2.3°C, slightly below average.
- Gulmarg recorded a low of -7.5°C, Pahalgam -4.7°C and Kupwara -1.2°C, all below average.
- Jammu division saw daytime highs reaching 23.4°C in Jammu, 24.0°C in Kathua, and 20.9°C in Katra.
- Minimum temperatures in the Jammu division were 1 to 2°C below normal.
