Authorities in Rajouri and Reasi districts of Jammu and Kashmir have booked several individuals for posting “objectionable content” on social media regarding the upcoming Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.
Local police expressed concern that some online content deemed “sensitive” could potentially disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in Rajouri. Consequently, a case has been registered against those accused of insulting religious sentiments.
A similar incident occurred in Reasi, where an individual was booked for allegedly posting “objectionable content” online. SSP Reasi, Amit Gupta, issued a strong warning, urging the public to refrain from sharing any provocative or hateful content on social media that could disturb the region’s peace and harmony. He further stated that all social media platforms are being closely monitored, and strict action will be taken against anyone found posting harmful content.
