On February 12, 2025, Ali Mohammad Mir, a resident of Nowshera, reported to Police Station Soura that his clothing shop had been burglarized, with ₹27,000 stolen. A case (FIR No. 08/2025) was registered, and an investigation commenced.
Within hours, police apprehended Imran Hussain Sofi, son of Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Khumeni Chowk, Bemina, Budgam. Upon questioning, Sofi confessed to the theft, and the entire stolen amount of ₹27,000 was recovered.
