J&K: Woman Dies After Mortar Shell Blast Injuries

A 76-year-woman named Semroo Devi died on Wednesday from injuries sustained in a mortar shell blast in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The explosion occurred on May 27th in Khada Madana village, Samba district. Devi was one of three people injured by the blast.

Officials reported that Devi suffered critical head injuries and passed away early Wednesday at a government hospital. The other two injured, Rameet Singh (66) and Suriya Bibi (58), are said to be in stable condition.

Following legal and medical procedures, Devi’s body was released to her family.
