J&K’s Peaceful Atmosphere a Testament to Sacrifices of Security Forces: DGP

Director General of Police (DGP) Rashmi Ranjan Swain has praised the security forces for their efforts in restoring peace in Jammu and Kashmir. He made these remarks during a visit to the twin south Kashmir districts of Shopian and Pulwama, where he chaired meetings with senior officers of the Army, CRPF, and Police.

DGP Swain lauded the forces for their “hard work and sacrifices” in fighting terrorism in the region. He also stressed the importance of continued vigilance, noting that “enemies of peace” were still looking for opportunities to disrupt the peace.

The DGP called for enhanced cooperation among all security forces, emphasizing the need for “synergy” and “coordination” at all levels. He also directed the forces to work on plans for area domination and to generate more human intelligence.

DGP Swain also emphasized the importance of the safety and security of the people, stating that “people’s welfare was the prime concern.” He impressed upon the officers to work with professionalism, sincerity, and dedication.

The DGP’s visit comes as the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir has improved significantly in recent years. The number of terrorist incidents has declined sharply, and the overall security scenario is more stable.
