Srinagar and other parts of Kashmir experienced their coldest nights of the season as a prolonged dry spell gripped the region. Temperatures plummeted significantly, with Srinagar recording a bone-chilling minus 6.2 degrees Celsius.
The cold wave intensified across the Valley, impacting major areas. Gulmarg, a renowned ski resort, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 6.0 degrees Celsius. Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination, experienced a frigid minus 8.2 degrees Celsius, while Shopian in South Kashmir recorded a low of minus 10.0 degrees Celsius.
Qazigund, the gateway to Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 7.6 degrees Celsius, and Kupwara in North Kashmir registered minus 6.5 degrees Celsius. Kokernag in South Kashmir recorded a low of minus 5.8 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast predicts no significant weather activity until December 31st.
