An encounter erupted on Wednesday in a heavily forested area of Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, between terrorists and security forces.
The gunfight began this evening in the Kuchal area of Chatroo when a joint search and cordon operation, involving the police, Army, and CRPF, was launched based on specific intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists.
Officials reported that terrorists opened fire upon detecting the security search parties, initiating the ongoing encounter. Reinforcements have been dispatched to the scene to maintain a tight cordon and neutralize the terrorists.
