Kishtwar Police Nab Most Wanted Absconder After 30 Years

In a major win, the Jammu and Kashmir Police apprehended a fugitive who evaded arrest for three decades (33 years). The absconder was wanted in a case registered in 1991 under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act (TADA), along with charges of robbery (Section 382 of the RPC) and illegal arms possession (Sections 3/25 of the Arms Act).

Acting on a tip, the Kishtwar District Police formed a special team led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DAR) to track down the fugitive. The team conducted raids based on their investigation and successfully captured the absconder. He will now face trial in court.
