Kulgam Police: More Property Attached Under NDPS Act

In a significant move against drug trafficking, Kulgam Police, led by SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Srangal IPS, has attached another property belonging to a drug peddler. The individual, Mushtaq Ahmad Bagow, son of Late Wali Mohd Bagow, a resident of Redwani Payeen, had a single-story residential building (1041 sq. ft.) and 20 marlas of land in Ghat Redwani, Payeen, attached under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The estimated market value of the seized assets, located under Survey No. 867, is Rs. 19,89,536.

Mushtaq Ahmad Bagow is involved in two separate NDPS cases:

  • FIR No. 62/2021 U/S 8/15-29 at Police Station Qaimoh
  • FIR No. 43/2024 at Police Station Qaimoh U/S 8/15-21 NDPS Act

Proceedings for the attachment were initiated by the competent authority under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act, as the property is believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of narcotic trafficking.

This action underscores Kulgam Police’s firm resolve to combat the drug menace by not only prosecuting offenders but also by seizing their illegally acquired assets.
