Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir – An explosion on Monday in the Langate area of Kupwara district injured three people, including a 10-year-old boy, according to officials.
The incident occurred at Kachri during the demolition of an old mosque by the mosque management committee, who were clearing the site to construct a new one. The cause of the explosion is currently unknown.
The injured have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Mir (26), Ghulam Ahmad Tantray (65), and D.A. Lone (10). All three were transported to the sub-district hospital in Langate. Mir was subsequently referred to the Government Medical College hospital in Handwara for further treatment.
