A 55-year-old man, Mohd Rafi Tunch of Beadi Teetwal, died Saturday after falling into a deep gorge in a forest area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Officials reported that Tunch had been collecting green grass in the jungle when he accidentally slipped. He died at the scene. Police are investigating the incident.
