LG Sinha announces Govt job to NOKs of Pak shelling victims

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced on Wednesday that government jobs would be provided to the next of kin of individuals who died as a result of Pakistani shelling.

Speaking to families affected by shelling in Poonch, the Lieutenant Governor conveyed his sorrow over the casualties and extended his condolences to the bereaved.

“The loss of lives cannot be compensated,” Sinha stated, “but we stand with the families in this hour of grief. The next of kin of those who lost their lives will be given government jobs.” He emphasized that this initiative complements existing support from the central government for affected families.

Sinha also noted that both the central and state governments are working to provide compensation, with damage assessments currently underway to guide future measures. He further mentioned that while community bunkers have been built in numerous locations, the construction of individual bunkers would soon commence to enhance the safety of border residents.
