Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated a ₹20 crore Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at the Mata Vaishno Devi cave shrine in Reasi district on Monday. This new facility, located at the Spiritual Growth Centre in Katra, aims to enhance the safety and security of pilgrims through real-time surveillance.
Sinha stated that the ICCC was established following a joint security review by the Police, Army, and CRPF, addressing various aspects of security, safety, and pilgrimage flow. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board CEO Anshul Garg detailed that the center boasts a network of 700 CCTV cameras equipped with advanced features such as gesture recognition, facial recognition, and PTZ capabilities.
