Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the state-of-the-art Vistadome Coach on Thursday, stating that it will provide local travelers and tourists with a modern day travel experience in the Valley.
The Vistadome Coach is equipped with advanced features such as rotating seats, power sockets, transparent glass roofs and windows, and automatic doors with sensors. This will allow passengers to enjoy panoramic views of the stunning scenery along the Budgam-Banihal route.
LG Sinha said that the introduction of the Vistadome Coach is another step towards J&K’s developmental journey. He also noted that the number of foreign tourist arrivals in J&K has increased by 350% since the G-20 summit. The J&K administration is aiming for 2.25 crore tourist arrivals by the end of the year.
In addition to providing a unique travel experience, the Vistadome Coach is also expected to create livelihood opportunities for youth in Budgam, Qazigund, and Banihal.
