Indian Army troops from the Gambhir Battalion, deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, recovered a cache of explosives during a search operation on Thursday. The recovered materials included an anti-tank mine, four anti-personnel activator mines, splinter material, a shovel, rope, and other related items.
Army officials stated that a group of terrorists from across the LoC had attempted to plant the anti-tank mine to target an Indian Army patrol. However, the troops’ vigilance thwarted their plan. This marks the first instance of an anti-tank mine intended for use against patrols along the LoC being recovered, according to officials.
