The Border Security Force (BSF) successfully reunited a 50-year-old man, Venkata Rao, with his family after he was found disoriented near the International Border (IB) in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu. Rao, a resident of Andhra Pradesh, had been missing for three months.
On March 31, 2025, during routine border checks, BSF personnel encountered Rao. Despite his initial inability to provide complete information, BSF officers worked to locate his family in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. The reunion, which occurred on April 11, 2025, brought relief to his family.
The BSF’s actions underscore their commitment to both safeguarding the border and fulfilling their social responsibilities.
