Gandhi Jayanti is a time to remember the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and his teachings of Non-violence, peace, truth, tolerance, and communal harmony.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has urged the people to rededicate themselves to these values and work to build a better nation.
He said that Gandhi’s lifelong mission was to transform the lives of people and rural India, and his life and thoughts represent the eternal values of humanity that are guiding different societies across the world.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the significance of Gandhi’s ideas and ideals, and his philosophy of Non-violence and Peace, is relevant today as never before. He called on the people to take a pledge on Gandhi Jayanti to follow the path of Peace, Truth, and Non-violence and strive to remove social inequities in our society.
