A man was fatally shot in the Jewal Chowk area of Jammu on Tuesday afternoon, police officials confirmed.
According to reports, the victim was traveling in an SUV when he was ambushed by unidentified assailants who were already waiting at the location. The attackers fired four rounds, inflicting critical injuries upon the man. He was subsequently transported to the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, where medical personnel pronounced him dead upon arrival. The assailants managed to escape the scene following the attack.
The police have arrived at the scene of the incident and have initiated a large-scale search operation to apprehend the perpetrators.
