In a dramatic bust near a Chhattisgarh bank, police seized a staggering Rs 2.64 crore in cash from one of two suspicious vehicles parked early Wednesday morning.
Acting on a tip, a joint team from the Bhilai Bhatti police station and the Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit swooped down on the Sector-1 area, questioning the three occupants. However, their explanation for the hefty sum in one of the cars failed to satisfy the officers.
With no convincing answers forthcoming, the police promptly seized the cash and alerted the Income Tax department. The three individuals are currently under interrogation, and further action will be determined based on their responses.
