Kashmir’s weather is currently cloudy due to fewer western disturbances. Light snowfall is possible in the higher elevations of Kupwara and Baramulla districts in North Kashmir, as well as in the higher reaches of Ganderbal district in Central Kashmir. The plains are expected to remain mostly dry, with only a chance of light rain in a few areas of North Kashmir. This stable weather pattern should continue until the evening of February 14th.
A new western disturbance is predicted to arrive on the night of February 15-16, mainly impacting the higher altitudes. However, significant weather changes are not expected until after February 18th.
The recent cloud cover has led to warmer temperatures, and both minimum and maximum temperatures are forecast to continue rising in the coming days.
