National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has urged the government to treat the people of Jammu and Kashmir fairly and equally.
Abdullah made his remarks during a public rally in South Kashmir on Monday, stating that those responsible for the murder of innocent people should not be granted bail so easily. He expressed his disappointment with the government’s handling of the situation, emphasizing that the people of Jammu and Kashmir should not feel like their lives are insignificant.
Abdullah also criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its false promises and failure to deliver on its commitments. He highlighted the ongoing power crisis in the region, despite the government’s claims of investing significant funds in infrastructure development.
Abdullah questioned the government’s inaction in addressing the power crisis, contrasting it with the stable electricity supply during his tenure as Chief Minister. He urged the government to prioritize the well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and take steps to address their concerns.
