On Wednesday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided a residential house in Rustum Colony, Ikhrajpora, Srinagar. The raid was part of an ongoing terror-related investigation and was conducted at the residence of Hashim Farooq Mir, who has been identified as an Over Ground Worker (OGW).
Mir, son of Farooq Ahmad Mir, is currently being held under the Public Safety Act (PSA) at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu. The raid is connected to Case FIR No. RC 01/2025, which falls under sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). This case was initially registered as FIR No. 66/2024 at Police Station Kothibagh, also under various sections of the UAPA, the Explosive Substances Act, and the BNS.
