Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, the Northern Army Commander, commended the troops deployed in the counter-terrorism grid in Rajouri and Kulgam districts of Jammu and Kashmir for their successful operations that resulted in the elimination of six terrorists.
In an 18-hour-long operation on Friday, five Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in Nehama village. On the same day, another terrorist was eliminated in an encounter in the Budhal area of Rajouri district.
Lieutenant General Dwivedi visited the troops deployed in the counter-terrorism grid at Budhal in Rajouri district and Kulgam in Anantnag district to express his appreciation for their efforts. He praised the commanders, troops, and Jammu and Kashmir Police for their meticulous planning, jointmanship, and synergy, which were instrumental in the successful execution of the operations and the recovery of war-like stores.
