“Omar Abdullah Launches J&K Pension Portal for Retiring Employees and Pensioners”

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurated the Pension Suvidha Portal at the Civil Secretariat, marking a significant step towards digitizing the pension process for Jammu & Kashmir’s government employees. Developed by the Finance Department in collaboration with the National Informatics Center (NIC) and the Principal Accountant General (A&E), the portal aims to streamline and simplify retirement procedures.  

  • Early Alerts: SMS and email notifications eight months before retirement.   
  • Online Application: Submission of applications with document uploads.   
  • Integration: Links with JKHRMS and JKPaySys for service and salary details.
  • Electronic Exchange: Seamless data exchange with the Accountant General and J&K Bank.   
  • PPO Issuance: Facilitates the issuance of Pension Payment Orders.   
  • Post-Retirement Services: Tracks post-retirement services.
  • Online KYC: Supports online KYC updates and Jeevan Pramaan for life certificates.   
  • Streamlined Workflow: Eight-stage process from registration to final payment.   

The portal engages various stakeholders, including retiring employees, DDOs, Pension Authorities, the Accountant General’s office, treasuries, and pensioners.   

During the event, Chief Minister Abdullah presented a settled pension case to Mr. Ragubhir, a recently retired employee.
