On Friday, over 18,000 pilgrims journeyed to the sacred Amarnath cave shrine in the south Kashmir Himalayas to pay obeisance to Lord Shiva. Officials reported that exactly 18,010 individuals had darshan at the 3800-meter high holy cave.
The day’s pilgrims included a diverse group: 12,838 males, 4,343 females, 223 children, 141 sadhus, 8 sadhvis, 2 transgenders, and 455 security personnel.
Since the yatra commenced on July 3, a significant total of 163,726 yatris have visited the revered cave shrine.
