A PDD inspector, identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad from Chattabal, tragically died due to electrocution while performing repair work in the Parimpora area of Srinagar on Wednesday.
Reports indicate that Mr. Ahmad came into contact with a live wire during the repairs, leading to the fatal incident. Despite being rushed to SMHS hospital for emergency care, he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have confirmed the incident and opened an investigation. Locals have expressed their grief and demanded a thorough probe, questioning why the power line was not deactivated before the repairs commenced.
