Peace in J&K despite Pakistan’s conspiracy, says DGP

DGP Dilbag Singh, on Wednesday, flagged off 21 Peace & Stability Teams established under Operational Capabilities Augmentation of Police Stations (OCAPS). The teams will be deployed in 21 police stations across Kashmir valley.

The DGP said that these teams are dedicated to ensuring peace and stability in their jurisdictional areas. He said that the personnel in these teams have received intensive training and are well-equipped to deal with any challenge.

He also said that Pakistan and its agencies are still hatching conspiracies to lure the youth of J&K into terrorism. He urged the youth to shun the path of violence and join the mainstream.

The DGP also said that Pakistan is gifting drugs to the youth of J&K, as it did in Punjab. He called for a strong response from all stakeholders to stop the spread of this poison.

The OCAPS initiative is a major step towards strengthening the police force in J&K and ensuring peace and stability in the region.
