Jammu and Kashmir Police have apprehended a suspected drug peddler in Baramulla, recovering 12.5 grams of a heroin-like substance.
The arrest took place when a police team from Police Station Kunzer, led by the SHO, set up a checkpoint at Utikoo near Bangil Public Education Institute. Officers intercepted Naseer Ahmad Sheikh, son of Habibullah Sheikh, a resident of Par Mohallah, Pattan. A subsequent search led to the discovery of the contraband.
Sheikh has been taken into custody at the police station. A case has been registered under FIR No. 73/2025 at Police Station Kunzer, and an investigation is underway.
