Baramulla Police continue their crackdown on drug-related crime, with the recent arrest of a drug peddler in Kunzer.
Police at a checkpoint in Lolpora, near the grid station, intercepted Ishfaq Ali Lone, son of Ali Mohammad Lone, a resident of Hanjiwera, Pattan. Officers searched Lone and recovered 20 grams of a brown sugar-like contraband substance from his possession. He was immediately arrested.
A case has been registered at Kunzer Police Station (FIR No. 68/2025 under sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act), and further investigation is underway.
Authorities are urging the public to report any drug peddling or criminal activity to their nearest police station or by dialing 112. Community cooperation is vital in combating drug-related issues, and the police reaffirm their commitment to taking strong action against offenders.
