Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Awantipora Police arrested one drug peddler from Awantipora area.
During vehicular checking at naka point near Toll Plaza Awantipora, Police party of Police Post Toll Plaza arrested 01 drug peddler identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Chopan S/O Abdul Samad Chopan R/o Hawal Srinagar
The arrested person was travelling in a Auto Rickshaw which was signaled to stop and during through search 52 grams of Charas was recovered from the possession of the persons boarding in the said Auto rickshaw.
Auto ricksha bearing registration number JK01AR-2030 used in the commission of the said crime has also been seized.
Case FIR Number 23/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Awantipora.
