The District Police Rajouri has unearthed a new modus operandi of drug peddlers who are receiving consignments of banned drugs in parcels. Acting on a tip-off, a police team intercepted a parcel that had arrived in Rajouri and found 400 banned tablets and capsules inside.
The parcel was addressed to three men, Hassan Parwaz, Zafait Ali, and Mohd Farid. All three men were detained for questioning and have been identified as residents of Rethal, Nadian, and Saroola Manjakote, respectively.
The police are investigating how the drugs were smuggled into the parcel and who is responsible for sending them. Legal action is being taken against the accused under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
The seizure of these banned drugs is a major success for the Rajouri Police and will help to prevent them from being sold and abused. The police are committed to cracking down on drug trafficking and will continue to take action against those who break the law.
