In a continued effort to curb the sale of illicit liquor from district, Poonch Police have successfully apprehended a bootlegger and seized illegal liquor from his possession.
Acting on a reliable information regarding the transportation of illicit liquor in area, a police party of Police Station Poonch headed by its SHO swiftly responded and intercepted the said bottlegger and recovered 12 bottles of liquor from his possession.
The accused person identified as Shaid Khan S/o Jafer khan R/o Lassana, Tehsil Surankote and District Poonch has been arrested.
A case FIR No. 228/2024 u/s 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered against him in Police Station Poonch and investigation started.
